ACCREDITATION PROGRAMS

We can help you attain or renew your Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) or National Check Professionals (NCP) designations. We provide a variety of preparation based training sessions including webinars, teleseminars, and classroom sessions. We provide series education for each accreditation that include webinars, workshops and more, or you can get refreshers and attend the events ala carte. Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation is obtained by passing a nationally administered exam given annually in October. The AAP exam covers a wide range of ACH information including; knowledge of the ACH Network and comparative payment systems; knowledge of ACH rules and regulations; technical ACH skills, including operational requirements; understanding of ACH products and applications; risk management and other policy issues; marketing ACH services; management of electronic payment services; Regulation E and other federal requirements.

Renewing the AAP® Certification

AAP® accreditation is valid for five years. You may maintain your status as an AAP by earning and reporting 60 continuing education credits during the five year period or by passing another exam. Participation in AAP® training sessions, Payments University, and select annual conference sessions all qualify as continuing education credits

*Nacha will be more lenient with candidates who have travel-related delays due to weather, however, they are not able to extend the window past December 19 so they strongly recommend candidates in regions prone to snow to schedule at the beginning of the testing window so that they might be able to reschedule later in the window. They will also honor deferral requests due to weather on a case-by-case basis.

**NCP Exam New Dates: Scheduling Now Open - Schedule your 2020 Exam Appointment!**

  • An ECCHO ID is required to set up your account with Pearson Vue and select your exam date and time.
  • Information to know before arriving at the Pearson Professional Center (PPC) is included here. Please carefully read the section below.

Tips to Know Before You Go:

  • Arrive 30 min. before scheduled appointment to allow adequate time for required sign-in procedures.
  • Arriving more than 15 minutes late for scheduled appointment may result in refused admission and forfeiture of exam fees.

Appointments may be limited at a desired test center. Please schedule today!

What to Bring to Test Center:

  • Copy of the email from Pearson VUE confirming appointment location, date and time
  • ECCHO ID Code will be sent to you from ECCHO
  • One (1) form of current, government-issued photo identification such as a driver’s license, passport or other government-issued ID.
    Must be a photo identification with a signature. 
  • Name on identification must exactly match name used during Pearson VUE appointment registration process.

What NOT to Bring to Test Center:

  • Cell Phone or other electronic devices including smart watch or similar
  • Study guides or other study notes
  • Personal items

Lockers may or may not be available. Secure personal items before entering the test center.

Note: we encourage everyone to reschedule their exams as soon as possible.  However, we will be accepting exam registrations through the August 28th cutoff date. 


Renewing the NCP® Certification

NCP® accreditation is valid for five years. You may maintain your status as an NCP by earning and reporting 50 continuing education credits and by completing any three mandatory annual ECCHO NCP workshops during the five year period or by passing another exam. Participation in NCP® training sessions, Payments University, and select annual conference sessions all qualify as continuing education credits.


National NCP® Day
